Sonia AlMarzooqi
Sonia is a multicultural, bilingual Emirati business leader, entrepreneur, and public speaker, recognized among the Top 51 Emirati Women Achievers. She has led multibillion-dollar companies, scaled her own F&B venture into a multimillion-dollar operation, and served as the only female founding board member of Subway UAE, driving its growth from fewer than 10 to 262 stores.
Sonia has held senior roles including President, Middle East at World Wide Technology, where she established the UAE headquarters and secured multimillion-dollar technology and AI contracts. A trusted advisor to startups and government entities alike, she brings deep expertise in scaling businesses, forging strategic partnerships, and mentoring the next generation of leaders across the UAE and beyond.
Sardar Ahmed is Managing Partner of Hyvemind Group, a private investment office and advisory group focused on growth capital in industrial, tech, and digital sectors. He brings over 20 years of experience in M&A, capital raising, financial investments, and cross-border partnerships, having advised global public and private companies across Asia, the Middle East, and frontier markets.
Previously, he was Head of Investment & Global Partnerships at Scalo Technologies and Genesis Digital Assets, and a Partner at Osiris Group, a Hong Kong–based private equity firm. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Deutsche Bank Asia, ABN Amro, and RBS.
An active board advisor and speaker on technology, AI, and web3 policy, Sardar also contributes to private advisory councils of international family offices and investment syndicates. He holds a BSc in Social Sciences with a minor in Development Economics from LUMS, Pakistan, and is an IWLS Fellow at the National Defence University.
Shaharyar Nashat
Shaharyar is a seasoned legal executive and governance expert with nearly two decades of experience spanning law firms, multinational corporations, and financial institutions. He is currently Head of Legal (Assets & Operations) at Al Jomaih Energy & Water Co., where he oversees legal strategy for high-value assets and cross-border ventures across the Middle East and Asia.
His career includes leadership roles at Pfizer, Citibank, HUBCO, and ENGIE GCC, with deep expertise in corporate law, finance, dispute resolution, and compliance frameworks. Shaharyar also serves as an Independent Director of Terra Corp Innovations, a faculty member at the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, and co-founder of both The Counsel (Pakistan’s first corporate law magazine) and the Corporate Counsel Association of Pakistan.
